Performing Arts
In Term 1 students began their study of music. Students learnt that music can be listened to, written, performed and reviewed.
Home Group M and H have enjoyed making body percussion and learning to follow a beat.
Home Group B explored learning how to read, write and create music using their bodies. They wrote and performed their own body percussion piece of music.
Home Group TP and L learnt how to read simple musical notation including quarter notes, half notes, eight notes and rests. They explored how to use this musical notation to write a beat boxing piece of music. What an amazing job these students did at writing and performing their very own musical composition!
This term students will be continuing their exploration of reading, writing and making music through the use of our instruments, boom whackers.
