We have begun the year with lots of noise as we have started our exploration of music! 

Junior students have been learning about body percussion and how to create music with their bodies. They are learning to follow the pictures in time to create music and are doing a wonderful job!

Senior students have been learning about how to create drum noises with their voices, better known as beat boxing. They have learnt how to understand some simple musical terms including what a beat, rhythm and note is. Students have been starting to write their own beat box music using rests, eighth, half and quarter notes. It’s been a lot of fun! Some of their wonderful compositions are here for you to see.
