Child Safety and Wellbeing
At St Angela of the Cross, we acknowledge and understand that child safety is the responsibility of every person and is an integral aspect of student wellbeing. We aim to work collaboratively with parents, students and other community members, to ensure a safe school environment.
To do so, our school is committed to implementing and embedding the eleven Child Safe Standards into our every day practice. These standards inform our work as a school and aim to:
- promote the safety of all children
- prevent child abuse, and
- ensure our school has effective processes to respond to, and report allegations of child abuse
Along with these standards, our parent and student codes of conduct set out expected behaviours for adults and children. All three documents provide a framework which aligns with our school wide expectations of being safe, respectful, inclusive and persistent.
Please see a summary of the eleven Child Safe Standards below.
