Social and Emotional Learning
RRRR | Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Program
Commencing in Term 2, our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) focus will be implemented through the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program. The RRRR curriculum is an evidence-based whole school approach to SEL, designed to foster a culture of respect and positive relationships among students. This program aims to teach children how to build healthy relationships, develop self-confidence, and understand the importance of respect in all interactions. These aims also complement our existing Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS).
The program will cover six topics; Emotional Literacy, Personal and Cultural Strengths, Positive Coping, Problem Solving, Stress Management and Help Seeking.
As we commence the Emotional Literacy Unit, we look forward to supporting our students in developing their ability to be aware of, understand and use information about the emotional states of themselves and others. What valuable life long skills to equip our students with!
